Who doesn’t love beach reads? Today’s Top Ten Tuesday from the Broke and the Bookish is beach themed so here are the 10 books I want to read beach or pool side ASAP -varying degrees of heaviness but I am excited for all!

- June by Miranda Beverly-Whittemore
- The Rose and the Dagger by Renee Ahdieh
- This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab
- Here Comes the Sun by Nicole Y. Dennis- Benn
- The Girls by Emma Cline
- Sarong Party Girls by Cheryl Lu-Lien Tan
- Gemina by Jay Kirstoff and Amie Kaufman
- Rich and Pretty by Rumaan Alam
- Love, Loss and What We Ate by Padma Lakshmi
What’s on your list to read at the beach this summer?
Happy to see Gemina on here! My Sci-Fi & Scary Books for the Beach.
This looks like a pretty good variety for your beach reads. I’m interested to see what you think of This Savage Song. I’ve enjoyed other works by Schwab but haven’t tried that one yet.
Wohoo Savage song
I have ACOMAF, but I’m not sure that I’ll read it this summer, it’s a pretty big book and I’m just not in the right mood for it at the moment.

I want to read the Padma Lakshmi book. I really like her and would like to find out more about her. The rest sounds amazing! I want to read the Maas and the Emma Cline look especially good. Great list!
I just finished Rich and Pretty and it works perfectly as beach read- one afternoon tops. I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts!
Excellent!
The Girls is great! And I’m so excited for Here Comes the Sun – esp since Shaina recently said she loved it! I tried June, but admittedly not very hard, so will be interested for your thoughts…
I’m excited for Rich and Pretty — it’s been on my list since I spotted it in a publishers’ catalog, and I’m very much looking forward. And I hadn’t heard of Sarong Party Girls, but the description on Goodreads makes it sound super fun. Kind of the same type of book as Crazy Rich Asians, it sounds like?
I am totally hoping so! I am going to have to break down and read it soon.
