Unlike Shannon this month, I’ve totally over extended my library usage for May. I can’t update my kindle or the books I haven’t finished yet will disappear. This is too much stress! I’m trying to hold back for June – kind of… Ok so I have smutty light reading on hold for summer!
Read

- The Last Days of Magic by Mark Tompkins
- The Beautiful Bureaucrat by Helen Phillips
- The Expatriates by Janice Y.K. Lee

- The Swans of 5th Avenue by Melanie Benjamin
- The Queen of the Night by Alexander Chee – Hardcover is too BIG!
- The Queen of the Night – Audio – wasn’t fitting my mood for a long drive

- A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness- need to reread!

How was your library reading this month?
My library switched to an e-book system that is not compatible with my Kindle anymore. I hate that I can’t check out e-books anymore and keep them on my Kindle until I am done reading. Have fun with your summer reading!
Oh the humanity! That’s terrible!
Do you think Shannon is going to get a complex if we’re constantly saying we used the library more than she did?
I’m sad you returned The Swans of Fifth Avenue unread. But excited for you to get to read Eligible!
Haha! I hope not. I think Shannon reads enough to be ok. And happiness – our mom bought the Swans! So I can read it whenever and then force it on Holly. Eligible has a HUGE list so maybe I’ll even be done with Charlotte before I get to it.
I’d love to read the Charlotte Bronte book! And, I Capture the Castle has been forever on my list…
Looks like you killed it at the library this month. The Beautiful Bureaucrat was one of my faves last yet, and I Capture The Castle is an old favorite I’ve reread several times.
Oh my gosh! What did you think of Wife/Maid, Beautiful Bureaucrat, and Expatriates? Good luck getting through all those!
I love I Capture the Castle so I do hope you get to that one before it has to be checked back in
I am excited to finally read it!
